Ethan Snowden
Ethan Snowden is a performer, director, and vocal teacher based in the Oklahoma City area. Originally from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, he completed two degrees at the University of Central Oklahoma, a bachelor's in music education and a double masters in vocal performance and pedagogy. As a performer, he has dazzled audiences with his light yet energetic voice, specializing in Mozart operas as well as others from the Bel Canto era. His operatic roles include Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte with UCO opera, Count Almaviva (as a cover) in Il Barbierie di Siviglia, and he most recently debuted a chamber opera, Plum Blossoms, in which he played the lead role of Shi Lu. In addition to a burgeoning operatic career, he also has been seen on the musical stage as Enoch Snow in a regional production of Carousel. As a director, he has operated in an assistant role for Painted Sky Opera on two occasions as well as directed student led projects at UCO under a Research and Scholarly Creative Activities grant. As a teacher, he taught two years in Oklahoma public schools and has had several private students.
